The Global Alliance for Care Launches Mobilization for the International Day of Care and Support
On 29 October, the #VoicesOfCare campaign will connect the voices, experiences, and proposals of those who provide and receive care and support with actions led across different territories to advance the transformation of care.
Mobilization for the International Day of Care and Support is now underway. Ahead of 29 October, the Global Alliance for Care invites organizations, networks, communities, and individuals around the world to join #VoicesOfCare and help ensure that the voices, experiences, knowledge, and proposals related to care are heard.
The campaign aims to connect actions taking place across different territories with a global conversation about the transformation of care. To support this effort, the Alliance has made a series of resources, calls for participation, training opportunities, and spaces for exchange available to its members and the general public.
Resources to Prepare for 29 October
The 2026 Activation Kit brings together ideas for organizing activities, advancing advocacy actions, sharing stories, engaging communities, and bringing care into public spaces.
The Press Kit is also available, offering key messages, data, multimedia materials, and practical tools for engaging journalists and media outlets.
Different Ways to Add Voices and Actions
Any individual, organization, or institution can add events, campaigns, and activities to the International Day’s Map of Activities. The map remains open throughout the year and helps connect initiatives from different territories with a global mobilization.
The call for articles, stories, interviews, and experiences to be featured on the International Day website is also open. Contributions may be submitted until 23 September 2026.

Open Call for Global Alliance for Care Members:
Global Alliance for Care members can participate in the campaign’s collaborative initiatives:
- Take part in the training and support programme to develop or strengthen a campaign and be part of the Task Force.
- Submit a video for the collaborative campaign piece.
- Share a photograph for the collective collage.
- Propose content or activities for the 24-Hour Care Channel.
- Add events, campaigns, and activities to the membership’s Collective Agenda.
The deadline to apply for the workshops is 2 September 2026. Proposals for the collaborative video, collective collage, and 24-Hour Care Channel may be submitted until 23 September.
Each organization may participate in one or several initiatives, in accordance with the conditions established for each call.

Over the coming weeks, the Global Alliance for Care will continue sharing materials and resources to support the preparation of activities.
On 29 October, initiatives led across different territories will help amplify the voices and experiences shaping conversations about care and connect them with a global agenda.
