Asia-Pacific Care Forum 2024: Transforming Care: Building Alliances, Empowering Women, Reshaping Economies
The Forum brings together diverse stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific to learn, collaborate and take action on care to advance women’s economic empowerment and gender equality. It will take place from October 22 to October 24 in Bangkok, Tailand.
Women’s contribution to all types of care is estimated to add a staggering USD$11 trillion to the global economy.
The 2024 Asia–Pacific Care Forum invites governments, the private sector, civil society, investors, and care enterprises from across Asia-Pacific to join the movement for transforming care to advance women’s economic empowerment and gender equality. This Forum is co-organized by the UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, with the support of the Global Alliance for Care, and partners: Asian Development Bank (ADB), International Development Research Centre (IDRC), International Finance Corporation (IFC), Visa Foundation, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and Ayat Care.
The Forum will convene 150-200 participants from Asia Pacific with strong participation of South Asia stakeholders including: Policy Makers and Governments, Private Sector and Entrepreneurs, CSOs, Women’s Organizations, Investors, including development banks, philanthropies and foundations, UN agencies and INGOs, and Subject matter experts and academia
The Care Forum, which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 22 to October 24, brings together diverse stakeholders interested in building alliances, empowering women, and reshaping economies.
