Interdisciplinary Center for Development Studies, Uruguay (CIEDUR)
CIEDUR was founded in 1977 by an interdisciplinary group of professionals with the aim of contributing to the creation of alternatives for the country’s sustainable development. In its search for paths to development, it promotes the acquisition of knowledge and the responsible participation of social actors on an equal footing—an indispensable foundation for strengthening democracy. Its work is organized into three areas: Development and Labor, Development and the Environment, and Development and Gender.
