City Hub and Network for Gender Equity (CHANGE)
Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Freetown, London, Louisville, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Mexico City, Nairobi, Paris, Quezon City, Renca, Stockholm, Taipei, and Tokyo.

CHANGE is an international network of cities dedicated to advancing the rights of women, girls, and people with diverse gender identities. We serve as a learning hub and technical partner, supporting cities to improve services, infrastructure, and public policies so they can better respond to the needs of women and girls and build more inclusive urban environments.

Our work focuses on preventing gender-based violence, strengthening care infrastructure, and improving how cities measure gender equality outcomes to inform policymaking.

The CHANGE network currently brings together 17 cities: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Freetown, London, Louisville, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Mexico City, Nairobi, Paris, Quezon City, Renca, Stockholm, Taipei, and Tokyo.

CHANGE supports municipal governments in building “Caring Cities”: communities that recognize, reduce, and redistribute unpaid and underpaid care work, which is disproportionately carried out by women. We work with cities to strengthen care systems through policy advocacy, improved infrastructure, and better service delivery, with the aim of enhancing community well-being.
