Akãhatã, Equipo de Trabajo en Sexualidades y Géneros.
LATAM

Akãhatã is a feminist organization made up of a team of people committed to human rights. It works on issues related to gender, sexuality, and associated rights from political, economic, social, and cultural perspectives, promoting equality, freedom, and respect for diversity.

Its contribution is realized through the coordination of different movements across the region, capacity development, and the strengthening of organizations, groups, and activists. To this end, Akãhatã promotes dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the development of strategies, while facilitating spaces for training, debate, political advocacy, and the strengthening of activism.

Among other coalitions and networks, Akãhatã is a member of the Coalition of LGBTTTI Organizations and Sex Workers of Latin America and the Caribbean, which engages in advocacy before the Organization of American States; the Sexual Rights Initiative; the Observatory on the Universality of Rights (OURs); Dignity for All; and the MERCOSUR LGBT Coalition.
