Spinal Injuries Association of Malawi (SIAM)
The Spinal Injuries Association of Malawi (SIAM) is a national organisation founded in 2011 and led by persons with spinal cord injuries. SIAM works to advance the rights, dignity, and inclusion of persons with disabilities, with a particular focus on care and support as a critical human rights and development issue. Its work spans policy advocacy, community empowerment, rehabilitation support, and inclusive development, grounded in lived experience and participatory approaches that engage persons with disabilities particularly those with spinal cord injuries, caregivers, and communities.
