Fundación Soy Oportunidad is a social impact organization with 10 years of experience, specialized in breaking down the barrier between unpaid care work and women’s economic inclusion in Colombia. It operates through a hybrid and sustainable model that combines social programs with value-added services for the private sector.
Its three flagship programs define its areas of expertise:
1. Tripulantes— a six-month support program that prepares women caregivers for the labor market, with a focus on self-knowledge, soft skills, the development of a professional life project, and connection with opportunities.
2. Currículos Mothernos— a talent visibility platform that challenges biases in traditional recruitment processes by placing at the center the skills developed through care work. It connects women with employers within its network.
3. Red de Empresas que Cuidan (REC) — a corporate membership network that supports companies in adopting co-responsibility policies, including flexibility, leave policies, inclusive recruitment processes, and organizational culture. It serves as the foundation’s financial sustainability engine.
This work is complemented by its legislative advocacy efforts and its positioning as a leading reference on the care economy in Latin America.
