The National University of San Martín (UNSAM) incorporates care as a dimension of research, education, and institutional policy, addressing it from the perspectives of gender, feminist economics, and the sustainability of life. Its Interdisciplinary School of Advanced Social Studies conducts research on the social organization of care, public policies, and gender inequalities.
At the university level, UNSAM also implements measures to support students with caregiving responsibilities. Since 2021, its regulations have provided for leave for pregnancy, childbirth, adoption, shared parenting, and the care of dependents, with the aim of preventing these responsibilities from interrupting students’ educational paths.
