Documentation and Systematization of the Motherhood and Care Laboratory
This document systematises the main findings, reflections and proposals arising from the "Laboratorio de Maternidades y Cuidados", a forum for technical and political dialogue held at the Mexican Chamber of Deputies in February 2026 to strengthen the legislative reform on continued breastfeeding and job stability, spearheaded by Mexiro A.C., Deputy Patricia Mercado and the CUIDA Coalition.
This document provides a technical resource for the design and implementation of public care policies, by documenting a legislative process based on evidence, multi-sectoral dialogue and international standards. Its content serves as a reference for strengthening advocacy processes, public policy formulation and regulatory harmonisation in the areas of care and labour rights.
