Design and implementation of Subnational Systems and/or subnational care policies
In July 2022, the "Exchange of experiences on the design and implementation of subnational care systems and/or subnational care policies" was held. It was convened by the Global Alliance for Care, in collaboration with the Government of Mexico, through the National Institute for Women (INMUJERES), as well as the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the European Union Program for Social Cohesion in Latin America (EUROsociAL+).
This space for dialogue was the third in a series of meetings (called "Exchanges and training workshops on care policies"), with the aim of providing a space for training and exchange of experiences in relation to care policies aimed at people
government officials and Alliance members.
1. The first session took place on Friday, July 1, in which the document entitled " 30 best experiences to redistribute, reduce, recognize, remunerate or represent care work", edited by INMUJERES, coordinated by the Simone de Beauvoir Leadership Institute of Mexico and written by Lourdes Jiménez Brito, was presented.
2. The second session was the "Workshop for the exchange of experiences on the design, approval and implementation of National Care Systems and/or national care policies", which took place on Monday, July 11, 2022.
3. The third session was the "Exchange of experiences on design and implementation of Subnational Systems of Care and/or subnational care policies" which is addressed in this publication. This document is an exercise in systematizing the results of this third exchange session in the series. It is divided into four sections, as described below.
