With the Act to Improve the Reconciliation of Family, Care and Work, the German government has created a framework to support family caregivers in their tasks and give them the opportunity for more flexibility and individuality in care. The flyer provides an initial overview of the three pillars created to support family caregivers with the law that came into force on January 1, 2015. It presents the regulations on short-term work prevention with care support allowance, care leave and family care leave.
