This work presents a characterization of unpaid care work performed by men and women in urban households in Argentina, based on the Unpaid Work Module (TNR) applied by the Annual Urban Household Survey (EAHU) of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) in the third quarter of 2013. It is the first information of this kind with national urban coverage produced in the country, which contributes to the debate on how households organize their care activities for children, and the elderly, and the gender inequalities that are generated and reproduced here.
