This report contributes to understanding how care policies are being implemented in the different regions of the Global South - Sub-Saharan Africa; Asia and the Pacific; Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as identifying elements that have the potential to make them transformative. It also reviews the linkages between different conceptualizations of care as reflected in the care policy framework and its relationship to gender equity policies in a broader framework, as well as the different actors that shape the existence and current implementation of care policies.
