The Open Up Guide for the Care Sector is a project led by the Open Data Charter (ODC) in conjunction with local governments and the collaboration of civil society organizations specializing in data. The objective is to become a tool for governments to make visible and measure the care economy in economic development and thus recognize the care work that is done formally and informally in a territory, the amount of population that requires such care, and what type of care it requires, the available supply of care through facilities, programs and infrastructure, and the working conditions and professionalization of the people who perform care work.
