
The World Forum on Local Economic Development (WFLED) 2025 is coming
The sixth edition of the World Forum on Local Economic Development (VI WFLED) will be held from 1 to 4 April 205 in Seville, Spain.
The Forum is convened at international level by the Andalusian Fund of Municipalities for International Solidarity (FAMSI), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Labour Organization (ILO), United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and its Committee on Local Economic and Social Development, the Organization of the United Regions (ORU-Fogar), and the Global Fund for Cities Development (FMDV). In this new opportunity, it brings to the international debate the triple transition that our territories need in order to advance: digital, social and ecological. From social justice, training for employment and care. And it will be a key milestone in contributing to the 4th United Nations Conference on Financing for Development to be held in June in Seville.
This sixth edition has the support at national level of the City Council of Seville, the Provincial Council of Seville, the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, the Regional Government of Andalusia, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Government of Spain.Furthermore, it is supported by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Global Commonwealth Cities Forum (CLGF), the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF), the Intercontinental Network for the Promotion of Social and Solidarity Economy (RIPESS), PSI International, the Global Care Alliance, among other institutions.
