The Global Alliance for Care at CSW69/Beijing+30
The Global Alliance for Care is mobilizing extensively around the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW)/Beijing+30, which will take place from March 10 to 21 in New York.
This year’s CSW priority theme is the review and appraisal of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcomes of the 23rd special session of the General Assembly. The review will include an assessment of the current challenges affecting the implementation of the Platform for Action and the achievement of gender equality and women's empowerment, as well as its contribution to the full realization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.In 1995, the Beijing Platform for Action extensively referenced the relationship between care and gender equality. The B+30 review thus presents a critical moment to convene and discuss ongoing progress, achievements, challenges, and opportunities for advancing the care agenda. Alliance members have seized this opportunity through several care-related events and initiatives, which are compiled in the Care Agenda of the Global Alliance for Care at CSW69.
