As a government, its vision is centered on the belief that people’s quality of life is the most important thing. For this reason, this administration works to create a city that is economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable, one that places its residents at the center of all its actions and cares for them, embracing the concept of the “City of Care.” This model is designed to promote the well-being, health, and care of all residents, with special attention to the most vulnerable groups and the intersectionalities of people. It aims to understand and reduce inequalities while promoting caring masculinities. The vision of the City of Care recognizes that health depends not only on access to medical services, but also on a social, environmental, and urban setting that fosters development, life, and community living. They propose a paradigm shift, in which the people of Apodaca think, feel, and act according to the principles of the Ethics of Care—with equality, harmony, and reciprocity—and with a focus on resolving major social challenges and building peace.
