The Pro Cuidados Network is a civil society initiative that, since 2013, has been advocating for the recognition of care as a human right and supporting the development and implementation of Uruguay’s National Integrated Care System.

The Network advocates for and monitors public care policies, coordinates social organizations, and participates in dialogue with authorities, academia, workers, and service providers. It currently serves on the Care Advisory Committee, where it contributes to the implementation and monitoring of the System, with an emphasis on gender-based shared responsibility, universality, and civil society participation.
