The NGO Committee on the Status of Women in Latin America and the Caribbean (NGO CSW LAC) brings together feminist organizations and networks in the region to strengthen their participation and advocacy within United Nations forums and to promote gender equality and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
On the care agenda, it advocates for the recognition of care work as a fundamental component of the economy and well-being, promoting policies that acknowledge, redistribute, and value these responsibilities. It also calls on the governments of Latin America and the Caribbean to invest in care systems, social protection, and dignified working conditions for those who perform care work.
