Civil society
WALPE Africa (Women’s Academy for Leadership and Political Excellence) works to strengthen women’s leadership and participation in decision-making in Africa. It develops training, mentoring, advocacy, and networking programs, with a special focus on young women, women with disabilities, and women from rural communities.
Its work also addresses the economic and social conditions that limit women’s autonomy, strengthening their networks, political participation, and advocacy capacity. From this perspective, it helps build societies where women can participate fully in public, economic, and community life.
