Yara is a social anthropologist with experience in topics of gender, care, economic justice, migration and public policy. She has a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's from the American University of Beirut. She has worked in the National Institute of Women of Mexico, and as a consultant for various international agencies and academic institutions such as the International Development Research Centre of Canada and Columbia University. She has published research, articles and reports on issues of gender justice and strengthening of civil society.
