The event is organized by Oxfam International, CESR, GIESCR, CARE International, ActionAid, Feminist Macroeconomic Alliance, Young Urban Women’s Movement, with the support of the Global Alliance for Care. To be held during UNGA79 and the Summit of the Future.
The launch event will introduce members, present key knowledge products, and set a six-month work plan for the group’s activities.
The second call of the Care Economy Public Policy Innovations Collaborative Action-Research Fund Latin America and the Caribbean has been announced. This initiative seeks to promote innovative projects in the field of care.
This event will address the link between unpaid care work and women’s vulnerability to poverty, in particular when they are mothers. It will also bring together experts from different backgrounds to shed light on these links and the role of women as “shock absorbers” during crises.
The Forum brings together diverse stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific to learn, collaborate and take action on care to advance women’s economic empowerment and gender equality. It will take place from October 22 to October 24 in Bangkok, Tailand.
The event will highlight the mission of the Global Alliance for Care as well as explore new avenues of action going forward toward a future where care is recognized as a vital part of our lives that is at the very centre of all our well-being and prosperity.
The event will offer a space for open dialogue between authorities from EU member states and CELAC countries to disseminate the proposal and the contents that a Bi-Regional Pact for Care could contain. There will be live streaming.
