The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Inmujeres, UN Mexico, and the Global Alliance for Care commemorated the first International Day of Care and Support. The meeting highlighted the importance of care agendas and Mexico's actions to promote the recognition of the right to care.
This tool offers information, videos, laws, policies, and advocacy strategies from urban and rural areas, countries, and regions on the care issue. The platform aims to be a starting point for policymaking on the issue of care.
Two years after the Global Alliance for Care launch, important achievements in care were presented. It was during the event "Moving towards a New Care Paradigm through Collective Action: A High-Level, Interactive and Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue" at #UNGA78.
On June 28-30, the Global Grassroots Women Community Caregivers’ Summit brought together more than 70 caregivers and domestic workers from 24 countries. The Summit was convened by the Global Alliance for Care, the Huairou Commission, the National Institute of Women of Mexico, and UN Women.
The Global Alliance for Care, together with Inmujeres and UN Women organized the "National Meeting of Caregivers of Mexico". Community caregivers, nurses, domestic workers and caregivers of people with disabilities came together to work on a common agenda.
